Inertia

Inertia: Inertia is the name for the tendency of an object in motion to remain in motion, or an object at rest to remain at rest, unless acted upon by a force.

That defines my household.

That said here is my list of things that need to be done (and I'd best get started):

Pick up every thing in the yard that isn't planted and toss it. Sweep up every bit of junk and get rid of it. There is a spilled bag of redwood chips that has been there for I don't know how long. Mow the weeds down to dirt.

Get bins to pack away all my craft stuff. Pack away craft stuff.

Toss all my books.

Action cures inertia. I'm feeling better about mine. I had a long talk with Paige and laid out my plans to her. She's on board. Shit's gonna happen.

Yay!

That's a true statement. I'm just tired Donita. Tired of being tired, tired of having injuries that restrict what I can do and tired of stressing over it.

Well, I can certainly relate to that. I don't have injuries that restrict me (except for a bad back that hurts sometimes) but I do know about having barriers that get in the way of progress. If all I had to do was deal with my own shit everything would be easier. But when other people's shit is involved, that's a barrier. Not having enough money is another barrier. It's very frustrating.

Anyway, even if you were completely healthy and had lots of help, it's still way too hot to do much of anything right now. Sometimes I just have to take a pause and recite that stupid serenity poem to myself.

Sit down, put your feet up and have an Arnold Palmer. When things cool off a bit I'll come over and give you a hand with the yard stuff. Ok?
